Hogan's edited work Applied Ethics in a World Church: The Padua
Conference received the 1st place award in the category of Educational
Books at the Catholic Press Association’s annual convention.
The
citation reads: “This edited collection of thirty papers presented
at the Padua Conference in June 2006 focuses on critical issues of global
importance in the areas of politics, economy, and society. This work
is a winner because it includes such a wide range of issues spanning
globalization, the environment, HIV/AIDS, bioethics, gender, sexuality
and marriage, war/peace from a wide range of scholars spanning from
Africa, to Boston College, from women of color to priests from Brazil.”
