Fr. Andrzej Stefan Wodka CSsR was born on 29 December 1959 in Borzęcin (Poland). In 1978, he joined the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer. He made his first religious profession on February 1, 1980. He was ordained priest on June 6, 1985, in Tuchów. He was graduated (license) from the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome in 1992. After obtaining the doctoral degree in biblical theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University, he started his service at the Alphonsian Academy in Rome (1997), of which he is currently the President and ordinary professor of biblical ethics. Since June 5th, 2018, he has been nominated by Pope Francis the President of the Holy See’s Agency for the Evaluation and Promotion of Quality in Ecclesiastical Universities and Faculties (AVEPRO).
