Caroline G. Ong

Carol currently serves as a general practitioner in the western suburbs of
Melbourne. She is also a Religious Sister of Mercy in the Institute of Sisters of
Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea.

Carol is also currently doing her doctoral research on moral distress in
community palliative care through the University of Melbourne. She serves
on clinical ethics committees in the health and social work sectors.

Qualifications include: M.B.,B.S. (Melbourne University); Fellow of the Royal Australian
College of General Practitioners; Royal Australian and New Zealand College of
Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Diploma; MA in Bioethics and Health Policy (Loyola
University of Chicago).
