Carol currently serves as a general practitioner in the western suburbs of Melbourne. She is also a Religious Sister of Mercy in the Institute of Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea. She serves on clinical ethics committees in the health and social work sectors.
Carol has completed her doctoral studies and was awarded her PhD in 2022. The thesis was entitled Moral Distress, Moral Equilibrium and the Moral Equilibrium Framework: Health Professionals’ Well-being in the Face of Daily Challenges to Moral Values and Integrity.
Qualifications include: M.B.,B.S. (Melbourne University); Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners; Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Diploma; MA in Bioethics and Health Policy (Loyola University of Chicago).
