Born in Madrid, Spain. BA/MA in Law and Business, from ICADE, Madrid and Doctor in Theology from Boston College, since 2008 he has taught at the Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome. His two main fields of research are Social Ethics and economics. His current research focuses is how to help Christians to do social discernment and on religious freedom, particularly how the Catholic understanding of religious freedom can help in building peace. In his research he always pays attention to the history of Catholic moral theology as an important source for the renewal of the discipline.
